Women Writers Online U of A Access Only


Women Writers Online is a full-text database of pre-Victorian women's writing including fiction, poetry, and drama plus women's contributions to religious and political debates and to science, history, philosophy and medicine.

Additional Information

  • This database is currently under construction (as of 11/8/05) and will soon feature a new interface in addition to downloading format options.
  • Click on the Table of Contents link to browse all documents in the database.
  • The databases default Search option will locate keywords anywhere in the database.
  • Text Attribute Search feature will locate whole texts based on their attributes, such as author, publisher, date, size, etc.
  • To search for keywords within a particular text, select Search this text link from within the open document.
  • To print documents, select the Print option from your browser tool box and select the pages you wish to print.
