    IHS Standards Expert (formerly Specs and Standards) is a standards management service which incorporates a very extensive collection of industry standards. Bibliographic information on over 350,000 standards from approximately 450 standards organizations throughout the world are included. Documents can be located by searching: document number, keywords, subject terms, organization, new/revised, ANSI approved, DoD adopted, ICS classification.

    Wild card or truncation capability is available using the asterisk "*". For example, searching "transmi*" will yield documents containing the words "transmission", "transmit", "transmitting", etc.

    Please note: The University of Alberta subscription presently limits availability of full text to standards publications from:

    • ASME - American Society of Mechanical Engineers
    • ASME BPVC - ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (non-nuclear only)
