PICOmaker

PICOmaker is a free Palm OS-based application that lets users create and store queries in the PICO (Population, Intervention, Comparison, and Outcome) format for later reference.   This application is intended to assist students and clinicians with evidence based practice.

Download and Installation Instructions For Windows:

    Internet Explorer Download:

  1. Click Download PICOmaker, and when prompted, click "Save".
  2. When prompted where to save, choose Desktop, or an easily accessible folder, and click "Save".

    Netscape Download:

  1. Right-click on the Download PICOmaker link
  2. Choose "Save Link As..."
  3. A pop-up will appear. Select "Desktop," or an easily accessible folder, from the save in dropdown box, and click "Save".

    To Install:
    Once the download has completed, you will see a file located on your desktop called "pico.prc". Double Click on this file.

  1. A pop-up screen will apear. Select the appropriate user and click "OK".
  2. Another pop-up will appear. Click Done.
  3. Another pop-up will appear. Click OK.
  4. Press the hotsync button on your palm device. The PICOmaker program will install itself onto your Palm.
