Find Reserve Reading Materials

Information about materials on reserve in the University of Alberta Libraries may be found by searching The NEOS Libraries' Catalogue. Use a course name and number or an instructor's last name to locate lists of reserve materials. A call number for each item is required to obtain materials from the Service Desk.

From the library home page, select Reserves

To search by Course ID:

  • Enter, with spaces, the abbreviation for the course name followed by the course number (e.g. CHEM 100). Course abbreviations are those used in the University of Alberta Calendar. It is not necessary to enter a section number.
  • Press Course ID
    

 

To search by Instructor:

•  
  • Enter the last name of the instructor for the course.  It is not necessary to enter the first name of the instructor.
  • Press Instructor

The Reserve Search results should now display all course entries for the instructor name or course chosen.

Each entry lists the library location(s), call number, and availability of the item selected.  Record the call number to locate the item in the Reserve Collection. If the item selected is currently charged out, the due date is displayed.
