Extension Student Library Cards

Extension students currently enrolled in the English Language Program (ELP), or a Certificate or Diploma Program, are entitled to a ONEcard and COPPUL card.

This ONEcard will be used to provide library services.
The library will not issue a separate library card.

Please see http://www.onecard.ualberta.ca for further information on acquiring a ONEcard.

  • Extension students pay a $10.00 fee for their ONEcard.
  • Photo ID and confirmation of registration in the specified program is required to purchase an Extension ONEcard or to renew library privileges.
  • Students must then bring their ONEcard and library registration form to the library to register for library privileges.

Database access is determined by AICT.  ID's are arranged by Extension in conjunction with AICT.

The following policies apply to Extension Students holding ONEcards:

The loan period for most materials is two weeks.

Fines for late return are generally $2.00 per day for books or periodicals. See fee schedule for more information

Charges for lost materials are $150.00 per item.

Extension students not registered in ELP, a Certificate or Diploma program (ESL) are considered to be members of the general public and are eligible for an external client's card and/or The Alberta Library (TAL) card (free to members of participating libraries).

Please contact University of Alberta Library service desks with any questions or concerns.
