University of AlbertaWoolf's-head Publishing: The highlights and New Lights of the Hogarth Press
Rutherford South (lower level), University of Alberta.
The Hogarth Press is most famous for its association with Virginia Woolf. She was both a partner in the Press and its most important author. She is part of the famous side of the Press, and rightly so, but there is more to the Press than the typical highbrow and artistic associations. This exhibit highlights the broad international scope of the Press, and the variety of genres, best-selling titles, and surprising books that the Press published. The goal is both to celebrate the accomplishments and to challenge some perceptions of the Press. Curator: Dr. Elizabeth Willson Gordon.
Exhibition catalogues are available for purchase at the Bruce Peel Special Collections Library ($25.00, cash only please). Admission is free. Open Monday to Friday: 10am-4:30pm Current Web Exhibits at Bruce Peel Special Collections Library
