What I do?

I have a joint appointment with the Faculty of Nursing and the J.W. Scott Health Sciences Library.  I work one day a  week at the Scott library where I spend my time at the service desk, assist library patrons navigate the library, buy books for our collection, and teach.  The rest of the time, I work at the Faculty of Nursing in the Research Office.  My primary responsbilities there, are to assist faculty members with their research.  This involves literature searching, including systematic review searching, teaching, and building research capacity.

Research Interests:

  • Information literacy among adults.
  • Instructional design.
  • Adoption of technologies to build research capacity.
  • Use of web based social networks for informaiton sharing and knowledge creation.
