Access the Health Sciences Library

The Scott Library is accessible via the 2nd floor of the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre.

Closest Parking/Transit Options

Jubilee/Health Sciences LRT Station is situated across the street from the 114st West entrance. There is direct access from the LRT to the WMC 2nd floor via an elevator. There is a parking lot next to the Hospital at 112st and 86 ave. Meter parking is available by the Emergency entrance off 112 St.

If taking transit, go into the Jubilee/Health Sciences LRT Station elevator and take it to the 2nd floor. When you exit the elevator, turn left onto pedway (crossing 114 st).

• Enter the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre.
• Walk straight ahead to the directional signs and map.
• Follow the arrow indicating the John W. Scott Health Sciences Library (2K3).
• At the EXIT sign overhead, turn to the John W. Scott Library/Bernard Snell Hall.
• Cross the pedway over the hospital cafeteria.
• Follow the signs to the John W. Scott Library.

If using the parking lot off 112 St, enter the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre using the 112st EAST entrance.

• Proceed ahead to the elevators access to All Levels.
• Elevators are located directly across from the Information desk.
• Take the elevators up to the 2nd level and go to the directional signs and follow to the John W. Scott Health Sciences Library (2K3).
• At the EXIT sign overhead, turn to the John W. Scott Library/Bernard Snell Hall.
• Cross the pedway that runs over the hospital cafeteria.
• Follow the signs for the John W. Scott Library.

There is an automatic door opener at the exit to the library.

There are no wheelchair ramps in the Scott Library.

Entrance to wheelchair ramp is at the front door. No elevators to mezzanine.

The Scott Library is accessible via the 2nd floor of the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre.

Elevators

There is one elevator in the Scott Library, at the end of the corridor beside the Service Desk.

Tables/Workstations

There is a height adjustable computer station located opposite the Service Desk on the 2nd floor.

Washrooms

There are wheelchair-accessible washrooms on each floor.

Alarms

There are 12 fire alarms in the Scott Library, including the Halon fire alarm located just outside the Rawlinson Rare Book Collection room.

Service Desk

The Service Desk is located to the right immediately upon entering the library. There are two standings stations and one at wheelchair height.
