UAlberta Library Checkout
Libary Cards and Borrower Information

A fast and easy way to borrow books from the UAlberta Library!

UAlberta Library Checkout is new technology that is fast and easy to use. Each library has a kiosk available to check out your items or you can download our UAlberta Library Checkout app and use your own device to check out items on your phone or tablet anywhere in the library. Scan the QR code to get the app.

Using the Kiosk

  • Log in by scanning the library barcode on your ONEcard. Simply hold it under the bar of red light and the system will recognize you.
  • Then, hold the barcode of each item under the bar of red light and each item will be checked out to you.
  • Click Finish when you’re done.
  • A receipt will be emailed to you with due dates for each item.

Using the App

  • Download the app to your phone and open the app. Allow it to use Location Services and the Camera.
  • The app will then automatically recognize your library location.
  • Log in by scanning the library barcode on your ONEcard.
  • Use your phone’s camera to scan the library barcodes on the items you want to check out.
  • Click Finish when you’re done.
  • A receipt will be emailed to you with due dates for each item.
